Chief Ombudsman/Chief Executive
Circa £126,000
You will lead and direct a growing enthusiastic team across the three services and personally make complex decisions on difficult disputes. Your strategic skills will help us improve our processes today and chart our direction for tomorrow. To
succeed, you will be a natural communicator with clear vision and ambition. Above all, you will be able to show how your engaging and inspirational leadership style has made high performing teams deliver excellent results
Ombudsman
Up to £86,000 (depending on experience)
You will join our Ombudsman team to take the lead on developing the Surveyors Ombudsman Service and play your part in resolving the full range of complaints which the company handles. You will take full responsibility for your own decisions on disputes and will work closely with the Chief Ombudsman and senior colleagues to continually improve services. You will be able to show us how your skills in identifying and weighing relevant evidence fairly and impartially have delivered authoritative results.
Council Member
£12,500 two days per month
As an independent non-executive tOSl council member you will support the Chair in strategic oversight of the company’s
business, governance and reputation. You will ideally have a legal background and/or experience of consumer redress issues;
your integrity, objectivity and ability to challenge constructively will be unarguable.

Hours of work:
4.00 pm – 8.00 pm (includes shift allowance) 12.00 noon – 8.00 pm (includes shift allowance) 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
We provide free impartial dispute resolution for customers of our member companies. Our job is to investigate complaints by listening to both sides of the story and looking at the facts. Due to expansion we have vacancies for Enquiry Officers who have :
• the ability to deliver first class customer service together with good PC skills; • the ability to comprehend complex issues and extract relevant information; • flexibility, and a ‘can do’ approach, together with excellent interpersonal skills;
